Hello

Is it possible, by software, to disable the infrared led's?

I installed a C225 camera near a window, and the best recording for me is with the night mode, but because of the window, the IR light brokes my image.

I dont need the IR led's because I try to record the field out of my house but I have external lights, so the night mode is all I need.

Anyone knows how to do it?

Thank you.

Hi,
Currently, there is no option to turn off the camera's IR LED when the camera works in the Night mode.
Usually, we do not suggest putting the camera behind a window since the IR LED may cause reflection when the camera works in the Night mode, resulting in blurry and unclear images. In your usage scenario, if there are external lights in the environment, you can set the camera to the Day mode to get clear images.
Best Regards

Thank you for your repply.

Yes, I know that I cannot install the camera near of a window, but its the only way that I can see what I pretend.

I done some tests, trying to cover the IR leds, and I saw that without the IR I can see cleary the spot that I pretend.

The "big" problem is that with this camera (The only type that I know from Tapo), we cannot do any adjustments on the image... at night, using the Night Mode the image is affected by the IR leds, witch I cannot turn off, and using the day mode, the image is too blur, that I cannot see what I pretend.

Here are some examples (I want to see the two doors).

Thank you.

Hi,
For your usage scenario, you can try to cover the IR LED when the camera works in night mode to meet your usage needs. For the request to turn off the IR LED in night mode, it is recommended to vote and leave your usage scenario in this thread "Request: Option to Disable IR Light in Night Mode" for evaluation.
Best Regards
