Hi

 

I have a C200 Tapo camera in my living room that i use to mainly check in on things while traveling etc. I am using the router from my ISP and have never had any problems with the camera, but the router died and i had to get a new one. The problem started after that and goes like this:

 

The camera is connected to the network and i can view it from the app, it will then start flashing red and disconnect, it flashes about 3-4 times and then it reconnects to the network again. It will cycle like that all day long

 

What i have tried so far:

 

Factory resetting the camera, updating firmware, updating app, reconnecting to the network, moving the camera right next to the router, even tho range have never been an issue

 

Could it have something to do with the new router only being able to have combined SSID and the camera is getting "confused"? With my old setup i had split 2.4GHz and 5GHz

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if your camera keeps going offline.
What should I do if my Tapo smart device keeps losing connection or going Offline?
 

Please confirm the following information if the problem remains.
  1. The model number of your router and your network diagram.
  2. If it's possible to split your new router's 2.4G and 5G, please have a try.
  3. Check the RSSI value of the camera when it's working (go to the camera's Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon)
  4. List the new troubleshooting you did.
