TAPO D235 constantly going offline

Tapo D235 dooebell which is only a couple of weeks old is always going offline and telling me it can't communicate at the moment. It has a wifi signal speed of 31mps and -47 RSSI quality. it is situated less than a metre from the signal sender and the signal only has to go through one pane of glass. Does this indicate there is a problem with the unit (bought direct from manufacturer) or is there something I can do to get it to stay connected? At the moment it seems to have a mind of its own(AI maybe) and only connects when it wants to. Any help would be appreceiated before I give up and box it up for return, thank you in advance.
As a add on to this post, I also get a message saying 'Network unstable' and I can see above the live stream picture(when I can get one) the KB's figure constantly changing, ranging from 0 to 375Kb's. Not sure what this means if anything or what to do about it as my wifi is rock solid everwhere I test it including infront of the doorbell.

Verify what kind of disconnection the doorbell experiences, then refer to the corresponding suggestions here for troubleshooting. Cannot use the Tapo app to control my smart devices

What's the led status of the doorbell when problem happens? Do you see the doorbell show offline in the app? Or does it show online but fail to load the live stream? Any error message?
What's the hardware and firmware version of the doorbell?

@Wayne-TP Hi Wayne,
Firmware 1.1.16
Hardware 1.0
Led not showing on doorbell
Error messages ...all in app....Doorbell offline, Device unreachable, network is unstable at the moment please try again later.
Have rebooted numerous times and have changed source of wifi signal three times.
When I try the doorbell it rings and when I check the app sometimes its fine and working as it should be and other times up come the error mesages ..randomly in any order and at any time. And at all times the wifi signal is fine. I have spent more time in the last week standing on the doorstep testing wifi signals than is good for me and my neighbours are starting to ask questions of my sanity.

Is doorbell's status led set to Off? You can re-enable it in the doorbell settings, device's led status is a useful information to tell the current state of the smart device.
Typically, there are three situations in disconnection issues: device disconnected from cloud (local only), disconnected from wifi, app connection issue (device is online but the app cannot control the it).
Do you see the doorbell online (and able to watch it) in the app when the phone connects to the same local wifi network? Turn off cellular data, and disable VPN, ad-blocker apps and other relevant apps if any.

@Wayne-TP Just to reply to this post which is a common fault/issue with the D235 I have had the identical issue for number of months. It is hardwired with genuine SD card purchased direct from manufacturer. Sky wifi broadband 500 FFTTP, 12 inches between router and doorbell, no electronics nearby such as home landlines etc. Latest firmware..Have 3 outdoor Tapo cameras 50 feet from router that have NEVER dropped connection and work flawlessly. Sky router SR203..
Have been in contact with Tapo given them ping test results all in acceptable ranges......Excellent signal of .-23 RSSI ...Anyway today Tapo senior engineer contacted me to say they are now fully aware of this issue with Sky router SR203 and are in process of doing a beta firmware update to solve this issue and will roll it out in due course.. For everyones info.

@BetterDays2972 Thanks for the info. This makes more sense than just being told to reboot or move the front door closer to the router. i am on the verge of binning it and buying another make. Because of your information and taking the time to post it I will wait and see what happens in the near future. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing! This will be helpful for someone who also has the same router.
