Model: Tapo T110   Tapo S200B
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Required operation:

NIGHT MODE:

• 1 press s200b, the NIGHT mode created with automation and shortcuts is activated, if t110 opens, the alarm sounds on h100

I created NIGHT AUTOMATION

Alarm Automation ON:

o Trigger: T110 open

o Action: Send notification open and Ring h100 (Alarm 1)

DAY MODE:

• 2 presses s200b, the DAY mode created with automation and shortcuts is activated, if t110 opens, the alarm sounds on h100

I created DAY AUTOMATION

Alarm Automation OFF:

o Trigger: T110 close

o Action: Silent h100

I created 2 shortcuts:

1. ALARM ON: Action Activate Mode Night

2. ALARM OFF: Action Activates Day Mode

Created 2 AUTOMATIONS for the S200B button:

1. IN OPERATION:

• Trigger: s200b: Single touch

• Action: Execute shortcut ALARM ON and H100 ring (Sound 1)

2. NOT IN OPERATION:

• Trigger: s200b: Double touch

• Action: Execute shortcut ALARM OFF and H100 ring (Sound 2)

I would like to modify it as follows but I can't, and I don't know if it's possible:

1. When I'm in night mode, the t110 opens and h100 gives an audible alarm: Is it possible to stop the alarm with a touch of the s200b?

2. In the automations to set s200b I use 1 touch to activate night mode and 2 touches to activate day mode: is it possible to 1 touch set night mode by deactivating day mode and 1 touch set day mode by deactivating night mode?

Thanks

Four types of operation are supported on the S200B: single tap, double tap, rotate clockwise, and rotate counterclockwise. One button operation can be set as the trigger of multiple automation, but make sure there are no conflicts. There are more possibilities if you set different effective times for different automation.

I would recommend using the rotating method to control the day/night mode, then set one tap or double-tap to silent the hub. In the automation that enables the day or night mode (automation), it is necessary to add another action to disable the other mode, otherwise, two modes will be on at the same time if you forget to operate the button twice.

Hi, I tried to create automations as you indicated, apart from assigning the rotation of the key, where I succeeded, I do not understand how to create the automation to silence the hub by suspending all processes and how to insert the disable the other activity into the automations. In the initial post I put how I created the automations, do you know how I should modify them? Thanks.

Where is your question coming from? I don't get what's the problem here. And what do you want to suspend when silent the hub?

It is a simple automation to use the button to silence the hub: when single tap Tapo S200, then let H100 become silent. It's the same if you need to enable or disable an automation, 'enable/disable automation' is a type of action in the automation. Up to 64 actions can be added in one automation.

Thanks for the help. I made the automation to silence h100 like this:

trigger: s200 single touch, alarm on condition active, h100 silent.

It works, when the alarm siren starts if I touch the button it is silenced, but the alarm always remains On.

I wanted to create a shortcut to also use the "silent" as a widget on the smartphone, as I did for "alarm on" and "alarm off" but I can't make it work.

If I get it correctly, in this automation, there are two things to do after single tapping the smart button:

1. Enable the 'alarm on' automation.

2. Silent the hub.

The 'alarm on' automation always remains on because you set so. In this automation, every time you press the button because:

1. Want to make the hub silent. >> When the hub indeed goes silent, the 'alarm on' automation will also be enabled at the same time, repeatedly when the button is pressed.

2. Want to enabled the 'alarm on' automation. >> When the automation is indeed being turned on, the hub will also be set to silent at the same time, repeatedly when the button is pressed.

So far I don't see any contradictions or conflicts in this setting. It wouldn't hurt if you want to configure it this way, but I personally think it's unnecessary. This might lead to more confusion when more automation rules are created.

To create a silent hub widget on the smartphone:

1. Create a new Shortcut: Add an action > Control one device > Select the hub, choose 'become silent' skill, then click done. > Click Create, set a name a icon for this shortcut, then click Save.

2. Add a widget on the smartphone. There are different kinds of widgets you can add, make sure to choose the type 'Shortcut'. How to use Widgets to control your Tapo Devices and Tapo Shortcuts
