Hi,

 

I have a TAPO D230S1 doorbell with a 57CA Hub. Whatever I set the ringtone to, it keeps playing Jingle Bells (Doorbell Ring 1) - if I select Play Ringtone in the app, it plays the correct one, but when the doorbell is pressed it defaults to Jingle Bells and at a loud volume. This may be enjoyable at Xmas, but is very irritating and embarrassing now!

I have tried rebooting the hub, but to no effect.

any ideas?

Hi again - I have now seen another thread that was identical to mine and have solved the issue. Essentially, you have to set the doorbell ringtone through the doorbell device settings, not the hub device settings.

suppose to change it here, but i do not have the menu to change, toggling the ring connected hub doesnt work, suppose to have another set of menu appearing. The new firmware update gloriously screw up my devices,

  @Andy1503 Sounds like the hub might be stuck on a default firmware loop. Try resetting both the doorbell and the hub, then reconfigure the ringtone settings. Also, check for any firmware updates in the app. For trending ringtones that won’t embarrass you, check out SoundBoardW you’ll find fresh sounds worth ringing for!
