Got a TC41 as the ability to pan and tilt would allow monitoring multiple areas of my property while the ability to set privacy and activity zones would avoid infringing on the neighbors privacy and prevent recording events I don't want. And I can set up to 14 such zones, GREAT!

...only, these functions cannot be used together...

Privacy and activity zones are static on screen and move with the camera covering things I need to see elsewhere when the camera moves. Those 14 zones, yeah, they're all in one position on screen, no matter where the camera is looking... Why?! This defeats the use case I imagine just about every home owner buys these cameras for. At least have the ability to set individual zones for each mark when using patrol...

Here is a relevant feature request post, you can go to vote for this thread and join the discussion. Hot topics with detailed use scenarios will be prioritized for evaluation. Activity zones, Privacy Area and Markers

Based on my personal understanding of this functionality, a challenge here lies in accurately identifying which objects or areas need to be masked. To achieve ideal results, it may require more advanced and precise AI algorithms along with technical solutions to address dynamic changes in target regions. For example, there are possible changes in the content or morphology of objects (e.g., additions, deletions, or transformations of elements within a region), and shifts in an object’s shape, structure, or characteristics under different viewing angles (e.g., occlusions, perspective distortions, or lighting variations).

@Wayne-TP, the moment AI gets mentioned you're probably overthinking it...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, how does it maintain privacy/detection zones? My guess is it simply saves the various box shapes and their positions on the screen. Similarly, how does it know where to go during patrol mode? My guess is it saves an X and Y coordinate for each point.

Is it that difficult to simple save a set privacy/detection zone shapes along linked to each patrol point coordinate? Do you really need fancy AI algorithms to do this?

Your idea sounds feasible alternative to me. If there are plans to optimize this feature in the future, your suggestion could definitely be a valuable reference.
