Friday
Model: Tapo C100
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I encountered an issue with one of my cameras. I found it with that the LED remains fixed, and the device was inaccessible through the app. I tried restarting it, but nothing changed. After performing a factory reset and reboot the camera’s LED started blinking green and red. However, when I attempted to connect, it did not appear in my phone’s WiFi list.

I have tested with other phones and a computer, but the WiFi network is still not visible. I have reset the camera multiple times, and each time it boots with the same LED sequence after boot (blinking green and red), but it never appears in the WiFi list on any device.

I have four other cameras working correctly in the same location. To rule out interference, I moved this particular camera to another site, but the issue persists.

Is there anything else I can try?

Hi,
You can refer to the below tips for the reported issue.
  1. Please check the MAC address on the camera first, and pay attention to the last four letters. The default SSID of the camera is Tapo_Cam_XXXX(the last four letters of the MAC address).

  2. Turn off the VPN program or Antivirus app on your phone, and then check if you can see the default SSID of the camera after factory resetting it.

  3. Reboot the camera, and then factory reset it for a try.

If the problem remains, it may be the camera has an issue. You can contact the retailer or local team to check if the camera is under warranty.

Best Regards
