Tapo C510W Patrol Mode not working
Hello. Even since day one, Patrol mode doesn't work at all. I enable it, I set starting point and finish point, add how much time to stay on each of them and I can see that it says in the app that patrol mode is on. The problem is that it does nothing. It doesn't move at all not even once. Everything else works, I can move it manually or by using the saved positions, but it won't auto move when in patrol mode.

Hi,
1. Please send us a picture of the camera's Patrol Mode page and the Patrol Mode Schedule page.
2. How long have you waited before noticed the camera does not pan & tilt automatically?

Hi. I've noticed it didn't worked after a couple weeks. I wasn't around much so I didn't really check if it was physically moving automatically and in the app I would usually just take a quick glance without thinking too much. I found out it didn't work when I realized that every time I opened the app it was showing only the first position and I checked the next around 15 minutes of live video and it didn't move at all. No error, no message. The schedule is set to Always on. I don't know how to add two images to this post.

Hi,
1. On the camera's Live View page, can you see the message "Patrol Mode is on"?
2. If you have a microSD card inserted into the camera to store video recordings, please set the camera to store continuous recordings to the SD card, and then check if the camera is moving on the video recordings.
How can I view continuous recordings of Tapo & Kasa cameras on the Tapo app
3. Please try to turn off the Patrol mode on the Tapo app, set the layover time to 2 minutes on the Front position, enable the Patrol mode again, monitor the camera's live view page for more than 2 minutes, and then check if the Patrol mode is working.

@Solla-topee For some reason after reseting the card and setting it to continuous recording it started to work. Thanks!

Hi,
Typically, the patrol mode works or not has nothing to do with the camera's record settings. Thank you for sharing your experience, but it could just be a coincidence.
We suggest you keep paying attention to the camera's performance for some time.
Best Regards
