Hello, my TC82 camera suddenly stopped to record properly any motion detection. I use to have at least 50-60 detection per day that was recorded on my SD card installed in the camera. Now, in best case I have 3-4 detections per day. Wake up sensitivity are at maximum level, same as motion sensors for all type(person, vehicle , pet, etc). If I watch the live view of the camera it does detect motion, if i close the app and move in front of it, launch back the camera - nothing is detected.

I use the Detection Range Test feature and seems like it is working fine, it shows me that it see me. But then again, if I close the app, nothing is being detected.

What can be the issue and how can i solve it? Camera is 2 months old.

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if the detection feature is not working well.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?
 

Please confirm the following information if the problem remains.
  1. What's the sensitivity of the enabled detection types?


  2. Please send us a picture of the activity zone settings.


  3. You can go to the Tapo app > camera's Live View page, tap the Record icon to record a video manually, and then reproduce the event in front of the camera which won't trigger the detection feature when the app is closed. Then send us the video for analysis.

 

You can upload the video and picture to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate a link to download them, and send me(@Solla-topee) the link via a private message.
