Hi,

I need to watch continuous video saved on the SD card on my mobile. I am facing an abusive enemy so when any voice comes then I want to keep it.The camera is in a very busy lane. So, event-based recording on Tapo Cloud is not useful. I am having a tough time handling the video.

1. Going back and forth is not available. I need to use my fingers to go back but it takes me back by more than desired. There is no button like 30 Sec back, forward 30 sec, etc.

2. When I fast forward then audio is not available.

Is there a better app for managing continuous video?

Thanks,

Hi,
Currently, we do not have another app for managing Tapo devices. In this case, thank you for your feedback here, we certainly appreciate your feedback and feature requests. I'll log them and pass them along to the relevant team for evaluation.

I don't know if you've discovered this, but (on the Android app - not sure about iOS) you can use two fingers on the timeline bar to stretch (or pinch to shrink) the time scale bar to be a bit more useful/precise.

With the enlarged timeline scale, it's a bit easier to scroll forward/back on a video and while seeing the timing.

No audio in playback speed other than 1x is typical (altough I know it's possible with other video players).  I agree that the playback options in the app could use some improvement.

Alternatively, if your recording(s) are on a MicroSD, then using the card on a PC to view the videos might provide a better experience.  Another altrenative would be to download the videos of interest to your device and then using another video player or sending them to a PC.

Hope this helps!
