Model: KE100 KIT
Hardware Version: V8
Firmware Version:

Hi

I've installed the kit as a trial, with just the hub and one Thermostat.

I want to try out the Geofencing feature for when my wife and I are both at work.

I can see how to set up a rule for my phone to say "turn off the heating when I leave the radius".

But how do I make sure it only turns off when we're BOTH outside the radius, and then turns on when only ONE of us comes back home?

Or is this how it works automatically anyway?

Thanks

The geofencing setting takes effect when ANY phone triggers the automation rule.

This feature doesn't have many designs for multi-users cases, you may follow the future news to learn about if there is any update on this feature.

Hi I've tested this out now, and indeed as you say, it works whenever a single device triggers the rule. Which makes the GenFencing feature 99% useless for anyone who shares their house with someone else. The ONLY logical behaviour surely (for heating at least in a shared house) is that when ALL devices logged into the account are outside the GenFence radius, the heating can switch off or down in temperature. And when ONE or MORE devices are still inside the radius, it turns back on or up.  Otherwise (as is the case at the moment) if I go out to work or the shops and my wife is at home, the radiators turn off while she's still there.  I'm in a dilemma now. I liked the look of the product, and it's competitively priced compared to rivals, but the GeoFencing might as well not exist. So we just have to decide whether we splash out the money for a load more of your TRVs to equip the rest of the house, but always have to trigger the heating controls manually when we both leave or return, or ditch the one I've tested your system with in favour of something more expensive that actually works as it should. There's no guarantee that you'll ever fix the GeoFencing feature and make it useable, so I have to assume that it will never work. Very disappointing for a supposedly "smart" product that it offers a feature so badly thought out as this.
