Tapo C220 - disappeared from the app
I bought this device last night and I successfully installed the device and setup the app on 2 android phones. I also upgraded the firmware to the latest version. When I woke up in the morning, the device is gone on both phones. There is also notification that device removed.
The device is still up and powered on, still connected to the wifi. Nobody is touching it. Nobody else knows the account credentials but me.
I also googled that a lot of other users experieced the same issue. Some resolved by upgrading the firmware but I already upgraded it to the latest version, and there's nothing to upgrade if the device is not in the app.
This product would be a shame, garbage, useless, waste of money, if the tp-link still has not resolved this.
I hope someone can help me resolve this and avoid this from happening again, as I will be out of the country to do in-person troubleshooting of the device.
