Model: Tapo C500
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.4 Build 240902 Ret. 38194n

As the title say: every time the camera detect a motion where it moves vertically, it doesnt return to the same position on Y axis (only on X axis), but it keeps getting lower.
The camera keeps getting lower and lower until i only see the floor of my garden.
When i try to return manually to the same vertical position after a few detections, the camera says that it reached the upper limit which is not true.
The only solution is restart the camera or correct pan/tilt in the settings.

Keep in mind this is the second camera i buy with this problem, i returned the first one and this one still has the same problem (unbelievable).
The first camera was a tapo C510W.
I can return this one too, but i have already 2 tapos: one internal and another C500 (but V1) external.
I like the app and all and i would not like to change camera brand.

The C500 V1 has always worked perfectly.
So what is going on here? It is a software or hardware problem? Should i return this one too?
The only other solution is disable the motion tracking which is quite frankly annoying: i've bought a moving camera, i want a moving camera.

  @Solla-topee

I returned my TAPO C500 V2 on Amazon.
I also returned a TAPO C510W that had the same problem.
Both these cameras (that features LED lighting)  have a new motor engine which is not as reliable as the first one TAPO made.

I tried one last time buying another tapo C500 and luckily it was another V1. (the one without LED)
I can already see the motor is faster and more reliable.
Tapo... Fix your stuff.
You don't want to invest less in motor engine, that is the first thing a moving camera has to do... move right.
I hope they can return to be reliable as the first version.
Thanks for the help @Solla-topee

Hi,
Please go to the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Reboot Camera page, enable the Auto Reboot feature, set a time to reboot the camera every day, and check if it helps.
Best Regards

It Is already activated plus i have done a reset too.

It seems the situation is improved after the reset but i can already tell the visual is going down slowly but surely

Hi,
In this situation, you can contact your retailer or local support to check if your camera is under warranty. Since the Tapo C500 V1 is working fine,  please check if you can get a Tapo C500 V1 as a replacement.
Best Regards
