C420 not recording
C420 not recording

Hiya,
My C420 has stopped recording (I'm not sure when, exactly, as I've only just found time to get into this).
A few observations:
- Battery is full
- Latest firmware installed on both camera and H200 hub (shows full signal strength)
- Set to record locally to H200 hub (SD card installed)
- Live camera view working ok
- Will record to H200 hub manually
- Motion, person and vehicle detection set to on with large detection zones and wake up sensitivity set to max (10)
- Notifications set to always
- Recording schedule set to always
- Privacy mode off
Assistance appreciated!
Best,
Jonny

Hi,
If the detection feature does not work on your Tapo C420 so that there are no video clips stored on the SD card inserted on the hub, you can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot the detection issue first.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?
If the problem remains, please send us the following information.
1. List the troubleshooting you did and the results.
2. Send us a picture of the camera's Detection page. What are the wake-up sensitivity value and the sensitivity of the enabled detection types?
3. If you enable the camera's Alarm feature, will the camera alarm when detecting events?
Best Regards

Thank you for your reply.
I have tried setting the Detection on movement and people. I've set the sensitivity to 10. I've tried setting the Alarm on. I have all notifications on. I have even tried setting up an Automation myself, to send a custom notification on detection of any event.
No matter what I do, the camera doesn't trigger anything. I can only get it to trigger (sometimes, not always) if I grab the camera and start shaking it or moving it around the room.
I'm pasting my detection settings as requested. Each individual detection type has sensitivity at 10.
What can I do?

Hi,
Have you set different detection zones for each detection type?
Please check if the camera can detect person or motion properly after you set the detection zone to full screen for all detection types. When you test the camera's detection feature, please go to the camera's live view page to ensure the camera is waked up.
Best Regards

@Solla-topee The detection zone is now set for the full window, and it's set for all detection types.
It's still not detecting anything, even when I go to the Live feed.
Anything else I can try?
