Model: KE100 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.8.0

I have just fitted the KE100 and I had a difficult time attaching it to the valve. My old valve was a Danfoss RAS-C2 Combi and I tried to contact Danfoss to ask which adapter I needed to use but they don't speak to domestic customers.

The data sheet for the RAS-C2 range includes the following statement...
"All RAS-C² Combi Packs comprise of a RA-FS angled or straight pattern bi-directional valve and a RAS-C2 sensor designed for 2-pipe heating systems."

...so I took it that the RA adapter is the one to use.

However, the TRV seems to be quite difficult to tighten and when I calibrate it, the head seems to wobble a little bit. Is this right? I don't know whether I've still used the wrong adapter or if it's because the parts are plastic and not very easy to tighten.

In addition, I'm not sure it's working correctly. I've set the KE100 to 23 degrees C and it says the current temperature is 20 degrees. I heard the motor but the radiator doesn't seem to be heating up and the temperature is dropping according to my Tapo T315. And yes, the boiler is on.

Any advice would be appreciated.

EDIT: The radiator did heat up in the end - perhaps there is a delay for some reason. Anyway, I am still concerned about the movement of the TRV itself when I calibrate it.

@AnnieB I've just had delivery this week of these valves and also have RAS-C² valves to replace. I did wonder which adapter to use so a web search found this thread.

I was a little worried that our valve bodies may not be compatible, but what I found was I needed to push the RA adapter down to seat it fully, and there was no wobble.

Pic attached to show how mine sits.

Many thanks for your reply. After my last post I turned the whole thing to the left (mine is upright too) and it did tighten. However, the LEDs were too far around to read. Since your post I loosened the top of the valve and kept the adapter tighter which seems to have helped. The LEDs are facing the front now although I actually would prefer them at a 45 degree angle due to where the valve is situated. I don't really want to loosen it again because I don't want to put strain on the silver plastic collar in case I end up breaking it. It mostly meets my needs as it is and is an improvement on the way I had it before.

I'm very pleased with the valve and it's so much easier to turn the radiator off when I run my tumble dryer without having to access the awkward space it occupies. I just use Alexa on my Fitbit Sense 2 to command it.
