C425 unstable connection after firmware 1.2.23
Hi,
I have my C425 now for a month, worked fine until last week. There was a new firmware : 1.2.23 and since then I loose my wifi connection every day.
To connect again I need to power off and power on the camera and then I works again for 1 day until it freezes again.
1.2.23 must be the issue because before it worked stable.
Anyone else having troubles with unstable / freeze issues with firmware 1.2.23 ?
Thanks

Exactly my experiences. Camera appears offline after a certain time. No automatic restart to become active again. Internet stable at the location of the camera. Seems to be a problem with the latest firmware.

@Stof2024 for me it's even worse: since the latest firmware 1.2.23 cannot connect to my wifi range extender at all. I tried with the main router (for test) at it works perfectly fine but that router has limited range, so it is very unstable. Very very annoying.

I hope they come with a fixed firmware soon and support is reading this posts...

Based on the problem phenomenon you describe, it doesn't look like the same problem. Please refer to the suggestions in this article for troubleshooting first. What should I do if I can't view the Tapo camera?
What's the LED status of your Tapo C425 when the problem occurs?
If it is indeed a WiFi disconnection issue, for example, the camera LED blinks red slowly, or the camera is no longer in the router's client list when the problem occurs, check the suggestions here. How to check and improve the network connection stability of Tapo smart devices
Please also share the model of your router here. Provide a network topology if you own a big network.

Hi @Wayne-TP ,
So topology is looks like this:
Router (Compal ch7465vf) -> Wifi AP (Kaon AR1840) -> C425. In this setup after the firmware update, the camera is blinking red slowly, before the firmware update it could connect.
After reset the camera for testing, I enabled the Router's Wifi as well, it could connect to the router only.
Since yesterday I'm using another Wifi AP (Tenda A18 AC1200) it also could connect to that AP and it looks stable (after 18-20 hours).
