@Solla-topee I added to link I sent you in the last PM differents videos of the problems encounters :
Wrong detection of subjects and wrong buffer, with no traacking of animals, or people
There is one of my cats, where one cat is detected, but the camera did not track the animal.
There is also one with people detected, but the camera doe not center the motion on it.
There is consecuive video of the postal service delevring parcels. You will noticed that there is a cut in this videos. The postal service deliver me a parcel but you did not see it on it.
Your new firmware decide to cut the video, there was no buffer for the second one, and finally you have a total miss of the crucial moment. Someone would have been detected with the previous firmware, and I would have all the parts of the video.
Finally there are two other videos of me  coming back and backing in my alley, and the camera decided to micro cuts during the backing without reason so there are also missing parts.

I think that the least Tapo / TP-Link can do is giving us the choise to choose this time without motion to stop the recording, with a default value of 10 sec and a manual one of a selector with 10/20/30/45/60 90/120 seconds. that will clear the problem.

Meanwhile, can you provide us a step by step to downgrade the firmware or confirm the one I sent previously ?

Thanks in advance for your time =). Could you also please confirm me you get the videos ?

Happy new year by the way =)

EDIT To answer your questions

(1) Please go to the Tapo app > camera’s Device Settings > Detection page, and check what detection types are enabled and the sensitivity value. Please also send us a picture of the detection zone.
==> all detection type unable, without configuring any zone. So default full frame used

    (2) How frequently do you experience missed detections or incomplete recording events?

==> many times a day, uncountable

    (3) Please provide a video showing the reported issue for further analysis. (If you have configured the continuous recording on the camera, it will be more easier to provide the

related videos for analysis)

==> in the link I previsouly send. you

    (4) Send us the camera’s model number and hardware version.

Tapo C510W v1 , latest firmware (1.3.1)

As it stands, the cameras with the new firmware update are redundant. It is pointless checking on the activiity they pick up as they probably miss more action than they capture, which is now only bits and pieces. The new firmware hasn't added any benefits to using the cameras and has only caused problems regarding what was previously a really good experieince using Tapo cameras.

I hope there is a remedy to resolve the problem.

Hi all.

I emailed the support last week when Solla-topee invited us to do it.
The support came back to me this morning with a good news.
There is an update available for at least the C510w (do no for the others). This update seems to resolve the main issue of the recording delay . I have no a minimum of 60seconds of records which should prevent missing events.

I am actually giving a test to this firmware on my 4 cameras, and it seems to be ok at the moment. I still have some 20 seconds records for the moment, but I will see how it will work for the next days.

Could you please give it a try if you can ? just to have more feedback ?

Have a good day to all and thanks for the TP-link / Tapo team for the reactivity.

Best regards to all

  @jimmy19 Hello Jimmy

B) We have pushed a fixed firmware for your four C510W. You can update it under "Me" > "Firmware Update" to see if the issue is resolved.

There should be an update also for the TC41 since it uses the same firmware v1.3.1 build 241111 rel.29618n.

@Alf-63 What did it do to your cameras ?

For me, it resolved all the issues.

I know it sunds like a support answer, but, did you try to reset camera after update ?(option just under the update firmware, and add it again into your app ?)

Hi,

Where I'm currently at with the cameras is the same as last week.

The firmware v1.3.1 build 241111 rel.29618n update has made my C510W and TC40 record only 15-20 seconds of activity and fail to record until the end of any activity. I took the

There isn't the same problem with a third Tapo TC40 camera, which I haven't updated the new firmware onto and remains on v 1.3.1 - build 240820 - rel 71705n.

I took them down last week and tried a factory reset, cleared the memory card even, but it still records for 15-20 seconds.

Have I missed an issue fix somewhere along the way without realising?
