firmware update
Hi,
A problem occurred with my two Tapo cameras following the latest firmware update (v 1.3.1 - build 241111 - rel 29618n) earlier this week. The cameras now record only 15-20 seconds of activity when triggered and fail to record until the end.
There isn't the same problem with a third Tapo camera, which I haven't updated the new firmware onto and remains on (v 1.3.1 - build 240820 - rel 71705n).
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello there =)
Here is the support answer I received 2 days ago :
"
Hello and thank you for contacting TP-Link support. This is Cleon, the system engineering from TP-Link, and I'll take care of your case now.
We have pushed a fixed firmware for your four C510W. You can update it under "Me" > "Firmware Update" to see if the issue is resolved.
We look forward to hearing back from you. If you have additional information or feedback to provide, please feel free to let us know.

They indeed push a new FW on my 4 cameras. I was able to see it and manually update 2 of them, the other 2 were already updated. I am unable to know if I am a beta tester for this FW. But , the new firmware indeed fixed the problem we all encounter.
I reply during lunch break today to the support to inform them that it seems to cerrect the problem.
As stated by solla-topee, I reached to the support giving a long presentation of the problem and giving pictures and videos evidences. They reached back to me with the email pasted above. But the firmware was listed as an update in my app. If you actually check your app do you notice a FW update possible ?
if not, did the FW version, build and release are the same as the one you mentionned in the thread ? if not you had an update. If yes, no update.
Possible solution :
- wait a few days / week to see if there are a new FW update soon. (which will indeed indicates that I was a beta tester)
- contact the support giving the information that solla-topee mentionned to see if the support is able to help you too.
I checked the TP-Link changelog, and the update I had is not mentionned yet. So is it a hard fix for me ? Don't really know :/
What I think is strange is that the update I had indeed did not change the Version number. I should have at least been declared as a bug and I should have had a 1.3.2 version.
