Model: Tapo C420  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.17

I have attached two camera to the hub with a microsd card in the hub.  Motion detection is set to on on the cameras. . Activity notifications are set to on. Storage and recording are set to on. The hub is set to loop record, The two cameras show on the hub storage screen as using hub storage. When motion is detected, I receive a notification but there is no recording.  I can watch live video on my phone and in Google Nest, but there are no stored video clipes or pictures.

 

There is no point having a camera if I have to turn on live view when I get a notification.

Check the SD card recording schedule for the camera. Make sure you have selected the correct time range. 

 

>> Go to camera Device Settings page, click Storage & Recording, click Recording Schedule.
