Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Can someone tell me whether video recordings made by the C200 camera can be accessed by the app, or in any other way remotely? The Which review of this camera says that when it sends you an alert that motion has been detected, it includes a link to the corresponding recording. What use is this if you can't access the recordings remotely?

What I need this camera for is to monitor a house that I am hardly ever at, so it must not have any important function that can't be accessed remotely.

Thank you - Rowan

Hi,
Typically, if your camera has subscribed to the Tapo Care service, the detection video clips will be stored on our cloud server for up to 7/30 days(based on the subscribed Tapo Care service). If your camera has inserted a microSD card, the video recordings can be stored on the SD card.
There is no problem watching the camera's live feed and video clips via the Tapo app remotely if it's configured successfully.
Best Regards
