Delayed Notifications
I'm using a Tapo H200 hub with T110 contact sensors. I'm using the Tapo app to create a basic automation, where a notification is sent when the contact sensor is opened between certain times - think of it like a home alarm system.
However, when my phone screen has been off for a while, I often get delayed notifications. For example, this morning a contact sensor was opened at 5am, but I didn't get a notification until 6:15am - that's completely unacceptable!
- I'm using a Google Pixel 6 with Android 15
- Tapo app is configured to be allowed to send notifications during Do Not Disturb mode
- Tapo app is configured with "Allow background usage" in Android app battery usage settings
- I've been through this guide, but much of it isn't relevant for Android 14 or 15 and/or Pixel 6 (e.g. there is no "auto-start" setting or option to "lock" apps)
I thought to try IFTTT instead of the Tapo App, but it doesn't seem to have any triggers for Tapo contact sensors.
I'd really appreciate some help with this, as this problem essentially renders the contact sensors useless :(
