Hello.

Having comitted to Tapo as my home automation system I have hit what looks to be a gotcha in this system.  I have both automation via sensors and time scheduals for when and how bright the lights are.  I also have a automation so change strip lights colour when doorbell rings.

Now there are times where we need ti interupt a automation such as turn the lights up, on or off.  The problem here is the automation has no resume so if its interupted that automation is gone.  I am thinking of getting light switches for home but so far without a resume feature it renders automation usless.

I was hoping that as it has a setting to turn on/off an automation from a action of another trigger it would re-engage that automation.  An example would be if a switch is turned on interupting a already dimmed automation in place, the switch could be set to trigger a short delay then switch back to that automation, but it dont work like this.

Thanks, Dan

The automation can be enabled or disabled by a shortcut or another automation. But if you want to pause an already triggered automation, in other words, pause the pending actions, this is not supported.
