Model: Tapo D230S1
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 3.7.518

Not sure if this happen after the updates of the apps as I come upon this issue 2 or 3 days ago:

Issue 1) that my door bell camera does not capture my neighbors returning home! Today I was free to check if this issue persist and when I look through the video for today, the camera still didn't capture my neighbors returning home but it does captured while he left home!

Issue 2) When I tried to played the yesterday or previous videos, after selecting the date on the apps but it just doesn't load!

Issue 3) realized that it is not very responsive as when I open my door which will activate the recording, the notification to my phone usually takes more than 10 sec to receive!

* I have set alert for "motions", "Person" & "package" detections. Sensing area is the camera max area and NO Private area have been set!

* I am using the Samsung 256gb Memory Card for surveillance camera!

* I have checked for updates for the firmware but shown it is the latest already -

Doorbell firmware 1.1.17

Ringing Hub 200 firmware 3.7.518

* The sensor sensitivity is at the highest of 10 since I first set it up and it's still is.

* The wifi connection on these tapo  indicated at the strongest as the mesh router is less than 1m to the hub and less than 1m from hub to outside doorbell device.

Please help!

Thanks in-advance.

Jon.

 Latest update:

Upon observation after I wrote in this feedback yesterday. The notification response time to my phone was significantly improve when I head out yesterday evening until today afternoon! The door bell sensor also sensing my return from a distance of 4m away (the usual was 1m away) and it is good to me as my house has a long corridor! All seems good and I thought TP Link technical support had adjusted or updated the firmwares in the backend but until just now, everything seems to go back to what I have feedbacks yesterday again!!! Sensing was not sensitive, sensing distance again was back to 1m away only and notifications was not very responsive too!

Anyone got a solution to these?

Thanks in-advance,

Regards,

Jon.

You can refer to the following article to learn how to improve the detection performance of battery cameras.

How to Install and Configure Battery-Powered Cameras for Optimal Detection Performance

Since this is a battery-powered camera that uses a PIR sensor for motion detection, if the doorbell is installed directly facing a hallway where people walk straight toward it, this type of direct motion may be difficult for the camera to detect. The PIR sensor primarily relies on changes in heat to wake up the camera, and direct movement generates minimal heat variation, which could lead to the camera having difficulty waking up or failing to wake up altogether.
