Model: KE100 KIT   Tapo T310
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.8.0

Hi,

I recently purchase a set of four KE100 and four T310. They are all connected to the included KH100 Hub.

I installed everything and function seemed to be fine. Some hours later all devices went suddenly offline. After restarting the hub the devices came back online immediatly.

After that they worked for about a day and went suddenly offline again. This happened the same the last two days. Once a day they go offline for about 2-3 hours and come back online without any interaction.

I added the devices to my local Home Assistant to see the reported signal strength. When going offline they had signal strengths from -44dB to -60dB. The signal strength stay almost the same the whole day when they are connecting fine.

I can't imagine why they are going offline. It's the same time for all of the devices. The last day one sensor and one valve stayed online, so the hub is still working.

Devices:
KE100 - HW V1 - Firmware 2.8.0

T310 - HW V1 - Firmware 1.5.0

KH100 - HW V1 - Firmware 1.5.19

Is the KH100 hub still online when the sub-devices go offline? Check whether the sub-devices show online in the Kasa app when the phone connects to the local WiFi.

Can you check device signal strength in the Kasa app? (Device Settings page > Device Info.)

Is your Kasa app updated?

Hi,

the KH100 stays online all the time even when the devices go offline.

It makes no difference if I am in local WiFi or not the devices stay offline.
And yes, the Kasa-App is up to date.

Signal strength is fine besides one T310, which is only week.

I found out that the connection loss always happens daily at nearly the same time (6 p.m. local time UTC+2) and lasts about 0.5 to 2.5 hours.

I also found out that there is a newer firmware for the KH100 (1.5.20) on the website, but I can't update the KH100 (on 1.5.19) because it doesn't find the new firmware.

The nearly fixed time of the connection loss looks suspicious to me.

Do you the KE100 goes offline every day around 20:30? What's the status of its Connection LED?

How about the KH100 hub? When KE100 is offline, please test whether you can remotely control the hub (ring it). Make sure to turn off the WiFi on your phone and switch to mobile data.

What router do you use? Who is your internet service provider?
