C320ws issue since last update
where do i start !
Up to yesterday this camera performed flawlessly. and i mean flawlessly.
Something has now caused the issue im having.
Firstly, its saving all to the SD Card. this card has been in the camera from day one and worked flawlessly. Its connected over a robust wifi connection to my tp link router, and ive checked the network and all is fine. signal strength at camera location is high 80% most of the time. Nothing has changed envoirementally or position wise. Im happy the issue is not signal related.
So to the issue. Up to now, if i got a notification i could go to the playback and download section of the app and replay back the footage or download it to my Apple iphone running ios 18.0.1. My issue is now i cannot play back recorded footage form the internal SD card ! ! ! I get a message that the " Network unstable, please try later " Well the network is not unstable. i suspect this is a generic message that TP link in their wisdom have chosen to dish up to cover many underlying causes.
Worth noting is i can still playback footage from the SD card IF i connect locally on the LAN....but the issue occurs when im away from my house and out and about. My phone is on 4g network with no issues. and as i say, i was always able to access and playback footage from the SD card when out and about, even when abroad !
SO can anyone tell me what this common error meessage is? and more importantly how to resolve this.
Few points to note that might help
1. Issues only started early yesterday.
2. I updated the tapo app yesterday to v 3.7.106
3. I updated ios to 18.0.1 ( had no choice as security update from apple)
4. i had auto update set to on for this camera so did i get a camera update yesterday ? ( auto now set to foo for all my tp link devices ./. thanks tpl but i will decide in future )
5. checked ios settings and mobile data is allowing traffic to the tapo app.
worth knowing i have a large amount of tp link hardware in my house and all work very well, but this issue is annoying me. I had thought of taking a cloud sub, but not now till till this is sorted. I hope this is a firmware bug in the app / c320ws and look forward to the solution.
lastly, i can live steream no issue from within my LAN and more importantly for outside the lan, so i can always connect to the camera. So why cant i pick up the footage from the SD card.......since yesterday? ? ?
i have followed the steps here, (tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/3927 ) and reformatted the SD card. also theres only one client in use. issue still there. Has to be firmware / bug?
