Hi,

I'm a little confused here. I've used the matter code to add my ke100 to alexa, it works without problems but, we know alexa is limited. On the TP-Link page it's wrote that it should support smart things directly but, isn't true? If I try to add it via the code generated, it says I need a smart things hub, why? I mean, if it works with alexa, why not with smart things? And, my alexa is the standard echo dot, nothing special...

KE100 itself does not support SmartThings.

However, it might be possible now through the Matter standard. A recent update on the KH100 hub makes it support Matter Bridge, simply speaking, by linking the KH100 hub to a Matter platform, its sub-devices can be synced to the Matter platforms like Alexa, Google, Apple, SmartThings, etc, even the sub-device is not Matter-certified.

It should be noted that a Matter controller/hub is needed to use Matter-certified devices. Additionally, because different brands have varying levels of adaptation and development for Matter technology, the types of products and features they support can differ significantly. If the Matter platform does not support a specific device type, that device will not be displayed even if it is linked through a Matter Bridge.

For the KE100, it can be synced to other Matter platform apps like Apple Home, SmartThings, Alexa, Google through KH100 Matter bridge.

@Wayne-TP what you says is true, in fact trough it I was able to add them to Alexa, I thought I could see them also in Smartthings but not, I should buy another hub specificallty for it to see them there I guess. My problem is, considering I don`t have a central heating system, between valves and my heating system I`ve a meross thermostat, which control my heating system. So I need to "agglomerate" my valves in a way that they can turn on and off a switch that could control my thermostat...alexa is way too simple with ifs conditions so I need to move all to another system...I though about smartthings cos for HomeAssistant I need to let a pc on all the time which is in my opinion too much in terms of costs/benefits...
