I have 8 C520WS cameras. I still have trouble detecting when it refers to animals as persons. And the "Adjust event type" option in the application is no longer available.

The new official firmware(1.2.9) of the Tapo C520WS is being released, which improved the detection feature and added the feature to adjust the detection event type manually. You can wait for the new firmware to be released to your camera.
You can also send me(@Solla-topee) a camera's MAC address via a private message if you don't want to wait, I'll push a beta firmware to it, and you can check if it helps.
Before the Upgrade:
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
