I would like to take a picture every day at the same time, to follow progress on a construction site. I find settings for triggering an action at a given time, but I cannot find "take a picture" on the list of possible actions.

Hi,
Currently, Tapo cameras do not support the feature to take a picture every day at the same time. In your usage scenario, do you want the camera to send the picture to you via email, stored on the inserted SD card, or others?
Do you have an SD card inserted into the camera/hub?

I have an SD card. Saving to the card would be perfect. Sending would also be OK.

Full support of this feature. Ideally the function would allow you to set a starting time and the number of seconds, minutes, hours or days until the next picture is taken, plus the option of pre-set number of pictures or unlimited. Finally, would be great if the picture's filename could be specified through a prefix, [eg: "Timelapse_garden] followed by the timestamp, so I could easily identify and group this and transfer in right order to my timelapse software. Thanks a lot!!!

I also have a use for this feature, so please keep me informed if it gets implemented.
I want to create a solar analemma picture, running over one year, using my TP-Link security camera.
For an example, see Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) of 2024 December 4.

Dear all, I bought the C425 exactly for having this feature and didn't think this would not work. I found the automation section but the camera section only allows actions for privatsphere and play a tone. As it is possible to save a picture in the camera view tab I would not see an issue to also add that one for automation. As this thread is already from last year is there a timing for this feature to be implemented? My construction starts in 3 weeks and I would love to record the progress :-). Thanks, Dirk

Require this feature too, it should be easy to implement, but it's very nice and important feature.

Could you please provide us with your feature roll-out timing on this topic.

I need to return the C425 now because it is lacking this ability (even though you have it available on the camera main view - just make it available for automation please).

The rest of the camera is awesome - easy installation (hard- and software), easy integration inwith my other Tapo/Kasa/TP-Link hardware - I am very sad.

Yes, I really want this feature. I use my camera to keep an eye on our vacation house, and I would like to be able to schedule it to take a photo and send it to: email, facebook group chat, signal group chat
