Hi

My router does not support PoE.
I do have a few dc ups used in the past as backup power for router etc.
They all support PoE and hoping I can re-use them for use with this EAP. Not sure which one to use for EAP115-Wall?

UPS A - 5/9/12V output
UPS B - 15/24V output
UPS C - 24/48V output

I found a injector in the spares box: 9-48V, max 0.65mA output. Could use this one I find the power plug?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

  @Chaka

The device has a PoE port, or Power over Ethernet port, on the rear. To power it on, use TL-PoE 150S or standard PoE, which is based on IEEE802.3af.

TL-PoE150S

Thanks @Hank21

Possible to confirm the exact voltage the AP needs though?

We have frequent power outages so would be great if I can run it of a battery backup. Also, the quickest and easiest option at the moment would be using one of the existing small ups. (Saves on spending time or money on new power source.)

Just not sure which one. If the AP say only needs 12V, then I can use one of the existing option and get things up an going asap.
(Hoping it only needs 12V as that ups is the newest and larger battery wink )

  @Chaka

The precise utilization voltage is unknown.Try searching for "standard PoE voltage" on Google.

It is not passive PoE; rather, it is standard PoE with an undefined output voltage.

What’s PoE
