Model: Tapo L535E
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.5 Build 240328 Rel.194528

After the latest firmware update, the L535E supports local smart actions! When I create an automation (S200D -> L535E) it works local and I can actually tell the difference, because it acts instantly. But after a while it reverts back to cloud and the symbol disappears.

Can you fix this please?

When I change one of the automations (for example a different L535E) the symbol reappears and the action is local but it takes anything between a few minutes to a few hours until it changes back. So there is some amnesia going on.

Any other devices in the automation? Did you re-edit automation or do anything before you realised the icon had disappeared?

Which version of the Tapo App are you using?

Nope. It's the most basic automation ever.

I have about 20 automations, 7 of them are local. And they are actually local, because the reaction time is instant.

After some time (minutes to hours), the little house icons disappear for some, but not all automations and it's totally random. The reaction time increases significantly.

I found out that if I DISABLE and re-enable the automations, reload the automation screen, the little house icons reappear. The same is true if I duplicate one of the rules.

Long story short: it seems that some component (the H100? the cloud?) forgets that the automation is local!

What I did for now is that I recreated all the automations in Smartthings (thanks, Matter-Bridge H100) and almost all of them run locally on the Aeotec Smartthings Hub! Even more than on the H100.

So please check if the cloud or H100 has amnesia.

Thank you very much for your help because it is driving me crazy.

I checked again and now only two of the former 7 actions are local. If I'd disable and re-enable them, they'd show up as local until maybe in 30 minutes or 5 hours when the icons disappear again.

flipping the sliders on/off, reloading the screen and now it looks like this!

Ten actions are local now. Tomorrow most of them will be non-local again.

To add to my other comments: I have three different Android devices, twof them with the latest stable, one of them with 3.100.528. I can replicate the problem with all versions. It's either the H100 firmware, the cloud or maybe the L535Es, but that wouldn't explain why other automations with completely different devices (water leak sensors -> H100 siren) turn to non-local actions randomly. See the screenshots to get an idea what devices are involved. The actions are super basic, no time conditions or anything.

Firmware update or cloud?

Finally got rid of the buggy L535Es, replaced them with Nanoleaf Matter over Thread bulbs and it works like a charm.

If the fix is related to the cloud I can do some tests with other devices.
