Hi,
The hub-required devices, such as the Tapo C420, D230, etc., support the Sub-G wireless network, they can't connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Generally, the battery cameras(Tapo C420 and D230) connect to the hub H200 via a Sub-G network, and the hub connects to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network or wired network to work.
If the hub has been powered, usually, it can connect to the hotspot Wi-Fi.
Best Regards
