I also need this feature for the same reasons. I'm already looking for another brand of cameras now.

Yes I would want this ...

This is an option is on other manufactures outdoor cameras.
It allows for other external lighting to be use to prevent overexposure of the image from items close to the camera and glass/refective items.
The triggers of shadows would be seen by the user and then select Internal IR if no other light source is used.
Allowing the user to also trigger flood lighting through the automation function which is available on the app.

I've only had my C225 for less the 24 hours but as soon as the camera enabled night vision mode it became unusable as it could only see itself. I will try to reposition the camera to improve the situation but the ability to disable night vision would be a simple fix and the most desirable option. Especially if the camera is unable to tell which option provides the better image, then a user needs to be able to make that decision for the camera.
