How to Get Dressed with Weather Reports?
Tapo Sensor Smart Automation

This can be done easily with the Tapo smart sensor. Interested? Let's figure out how!
What Device You Need
- For the dressing area, opt for either the motion sensor or the contact sensor (positioned on the door frame).
- For the closet, go with the contact sensor.

3. Create automation on Alexa or Google Home App.
Use the Tapo sensor as the "Trigger" Device to control the smart lighting, and ask Alexa/Google for the weather reports.
☆If you have a Tapo temperature sensor, you can also get an accurate current outside temperature (and humidity) reading.
Kind Remind: The Tapo T310/T315 are not waterproof. When installing them outdoors, make sure to place them in a sheltered area, like a covered corridor or backyard.
There are two automation needed. One to turn on lights and the other to turn off the lights when you leave.
Here we use Alexa App to show you how.
Step One. On the Alexa App, go to More -> Routines ->Add a New Routine.
Step Two. Set the routine trigger. Let Alexa do things only after a certain event happens
Tapo T100: Choose "When motion is Detected" Tapo T110: Choose "When Contact Sensor is Open"

Step Three. Add the action event. What would you like Alexa to do?
Part One: Smart Lighting Let Alexa turn on the closet lighting when the motion sensor detects movement.
Part Two: Weather Report
☆ Skip this step if you don't have a Tapo temperature sensor.
*Alexa is capable of reading Tapo T310/T315's temperature data, while Google Home can retrieve temperature and humidity data.
Part Three. Don't Forget the Lights When You Leave!
T100: When motion is Not Detected for xx time. T110: When contact sensor is Close.
