RTSP on C425
Bonjour,
J'ai plusieurs de vos caméras et routeurs. Et je suis très étonné de ne pas avoir l'option RTSP sur votre nouveau modèle ?
C'est très gênant de ne pouvoir la mettre sur mon DVR
Cordialement.

Hi,
Due to the continuous transmission of real-time video data required by the RTSP/ONVIF connection, it significantly increases the power consumption of the battery, thereby reducing battery life. To avoid this situation, the Tapo battery-powered camera models do not support the RTSP/ONVIF protocol.
It's recommended to use other camera models powered by a power adapter if you want to add the camera to the DVR via RTSP/ONVIF.
Best Regards

@Solla-topee this is ridiculous. It was working before the update. Clearly it was an afterthought by the Tapo team to restrict access through rtsp. Please reenable the feature in the next firmware update.

This is nonsense. I was about to buy a solar panel for this camera which I've just bought but because of this I'm returning this camera. I got this over the EUFY model because of my great experience with my wired cameras. Sorry - lost a couple of sales here.

Me too buy this model and disappoint with the functionality. Tp-Link should have function button in the camera setting as customer can select to enable or disable the RTSP streaming functions.
This is not acceptable at all. It's customers right to have those function on the hardware as we spend.
If Tp-Link don't want to activate those function, fine but Tp-Link have to give return policy.

I am in the exact same position as the rest of you.. TAPO removing the RTSP functionality without customer consent is extremely concerning, especially that they don't provide resolution for those customers who purchased the camera relying on this feature. Customer service/tech support was providing no help for those customers who now have a camera that can't be access remotely outside of their APP. There is no option to downgrade the FW, nor get a refund at this point. I've invested heavily and got the solar panel as well.. this is very frustrating that they can just delete features without letting customers choose.
I have defintely loss some faith in TPlink/Tapo... and will migrate away from their products from now on.. this is just unacceptable policies to screw over customers like this.
