We are trying to connect our iphone to the camera through the Wi-fi setting as instructed by the Tapo app.  but it always shows this, despite replacing the camera with the exact new made and model, using other iphones to connect, reset the camera, restart the router,  brand-new reinstalled Tapo app, all permissions granted, and having zero distance between phone camera and router when trying to connect. 

The camera was working normally, but oneday out of nowhere, it stopped to work and no effort, would make it work again and it's been showing this. 

Help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

How to set up the Tapo camera?

 

The default SSID of the camera can't provide an internet connection, as you can see in the above instructions, you need to connect to the default SSID of the camera, then return to the Tapo app to search for the camera, and then go next step to continue configuring the camera.

(Step 3. Set up the camera >>For iOS >>3. Go to your phone's or tablet’s Wi-Fi settings and join your camera’s network: Tapo_Cam_XXXX. Then return to this APP. >>4. It will start searching for your camera. This may take a minute or two.)

  @Solla-topee hello, it is precisely at step 3, where I try to connect my phone with camera it shows "No internet connection", despite the camera showing red and green.  And return to app would not yield any result it is as if the app doesn't detect the camera at all. If I press " already red and Green's and try to search, the app will search until failed

Hi,

Please help confirm the following information for the reported case.

 

1. Confirm if the Wi-Fi name of the camera is correct. Is the 4891 the last four letters/numbers of the camera's MAC address?

 

2. When you configure the camera, please ensure you have selected the correct model number on the Tapo app.

 

3. When you go to the step to connect to the default SSID of the camera on your iPhone, click on the Wi-Fi name after you connect to it, and then check the IP address on your phone. Is the IP address a valid IP(such as 192.168.x.x)?

 

4. After you go back to the Tapo app and search for the Tapo camera, please check if your phone is still connected to the camera's default SSID. Usually, when your phone can't search the camera, it may be your phone disconnected from the camera's Wi-Fi.

 

5. Try a different phone if you have one.
