Agree - and also all controls, in including Pause/Play should remain visible during playback.

This is because by the time you click to display the controls and then click on the control the target is waaay gone.

 

Please also bear in mind that other options for reviewing these clips is very limited.

It is not practical to try and download a number of clips, keep them in order (because of the apparently random file names) and then review using other software.

 

100% YES it should be a mandatory feature. Last week I had to scroll thru about an hour of video to find a suspect vehicle involved with a theft in our neighbourhood. While, using my Android v15 phone, it was easy enough to two finger spread the time bar wider for resolution, trying to drag the time bar back to a precise couple of seconds before the vehicle appeared was sooooooooo frustrating. I would lift my finger and it would jump a minute or more later in the feed. Over and over and over. Took 10 minutes to get to a couple of different points I wanted to use to create a video for the victim and police. By the time I got all this done, the vehicle was long gone. So what is the point of having a real time security cam, eh Tapo? I think we use to call this the "jog" function years ago. Maybe an option to set the jog function to either 10 seconds or 2 seconds. .

Plus,  a vote for showing the controls on the screen while playing back the video in full screen landscape mode on your phone.

That is also a huge deficiency in this being a useable system.

the fact it doesnt show live high speed scrubbing is so annoying. Our out door cameras at work and my old ring cameras at home do this. I can slide through a time bar back and forwards and see a live high speed version and then I can stop at the point I need. On tape you scroll forwards and backwards but it doesnt actually give you a live view and only start playing the video from where you release your finger...which is completely random. Also the time line bar is only available for SD card recordings... please can we have it for iCloud recordings as well.
