Model: Tapo C220
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Version:1.1.6 Build 231208 Rel.66881n

Tapo C220 has massive FPS drop issue.

So let me explain in detail.

Tapo C220 Supports 2K at 15, 20 & 25 FPS

I've selected 25 FPS option. But it only records 25 FPS when camera view is locked at one scene.

As soon as it tracks a person / pet / vehicle the fps drop to 15 FPS from 25 FPS. After 1 Minute 45 seconds of coming to rest postion, it again starts recording in 25 FPS.

Now since the pattern very much constant, I can very well say this is purposefully done by TAPO.

C220 switches to 15 FPS when motor of the camera get activated, the pan / tilt / tracking gets very laggy. You can clearly see it's due to low frame rate.

NOTE : IT'S NOT STREAMING ISSUE, I PULLED OUT SD CARD & PLAYED THE VIDEOS ON MY PC with FPS meter on, it actually Switches to 15 fps whenever the motor of camera is activated.
