SMART MODE NOT FUNCTIONING IN MY TAPO C520WS

Hello!
My C520WS was set to Smart Mode.
An event has been detected, yet the camera remained on the IR mode.
Smart Mode should automatically activate the LEDs for the Full Color whenever an event is detected. Is my understanding correct?
I have motion, person & pet detection ON.
Smart Mode ON

Hi again,
as per your request I sent you a private message with the details (including MAC addresses) for both my Tapo C520WS cameras.
There's another issue (more like an annoyance) that I observed with both Tapo C520WS cameras. If I move the camera - manual pan-tilt through the Tapo Android App, this manual movement is regarded and recorded as a motion detection. Shouldn't be.
I own another older Tapo CT70 camera, with pretty much the same configuration (motion detection and movement tracking) and that one doesn't record manual movements, it behaves normal.
Can you please look into this issue too, does it behave like this by design? (pretty useless to record manual movements in my opinion).
Should I start another topic? It's a little off-topic here where only the white LEDs issue is discussed.
Thanks

Hi,
during the weekend, while waiting for the new firmware I performed some more testing and configuration changes with both cameras on firmware 1.2.10 Build 241025 Rel.55515n
I'll detail here the findings and the differences to the last firmware you provided:
1. With official firmware 1.2.10 Build 241025 Rel.55515n I get the following:
a.) - manual pan/tilt movements through the Tapo Android App are perceived (and recorded) as movement detections
b.) - tracking off - movement detection on - person detection off - white LEDs light up OK, they stay on during the whole movement and a few minutes afterwards (presumably 5 minutes)
c.) - tracking on (all activities) - movement detection on - 5% of cases the white LEDs are lighting, but they stay on only for about 10 seconds even if the movements are still present (I literally dance in front of the camera) and then stop for around 10 seconds (the infrared are not starting in this intermediary stage, the room is totally dark), after which the white LEDs start lighting again for around 20 seconds. Finally the camera switches to infrared.
d.) - tracking on (person detection) - movement detection on - person detection on - 90% cases the white LEDs are lighting, but they stay on only for about 10 seconds even if the movements are still present (I literally dance in front of the camera) and then stop for around 10 seconds (the infrared are not starting in this intermediary stage, the room is totally dark), after which the white LEDs start lighting again for around 20 seconds. Finally the camera switches to infra red.
2. With the latest firmware: 1.2.10 Build 250120 Rel.45083n that was pushed to my cameras:
a.) - manual pan/tilt movements through the Tapo Android App are not perceived (and recorded) anymore as movement detections. This looks to be resolved. However, the cameras record the last tilt movement during the self test after a reboot. This is not a really big issue, more like a feature, because I can see in the recordings when/if the camera was rebooted (caused also by a power failure).
b.) - the same behavior as with the old firmware - works normally
c.) - the same behavior as with the old firmware - unresolved
d.) - the same behavior as with the old firmware - unresolved
Please lte me know if you intend to resolve these issues. I'm always happy to test new firmware.
Just for the record, my plan (that's actually why I bought these cameras - because of the features they have) is to use the white LED light (smart mode) with movement detection and tracking and without person detection in a zone where I don't have moving objects (like trees or animals). I'd be satisfied also with the person detection feature, if only through that I can get the smart mode functionality (pretty absurd IMO) but I read in a lot of places that the feature is pretty unreliable - many false positives. Therefore, I'm OK with simple movement detection, tracking and white LEDs (which would be also helpful for me personally - to light up my way through the door entrance in the yard).
Thank you again for all the efforts in trying to fix these issues.

Hello, I got the same problem, spotlight is not turning on in smart mode with 2 new Tapo C520WS V2.
On the beginning one cam was working in smart mode, before 1.0.3 firmware update I think.
Reset didn't help.
Greetings Alexander
