Hi, 
Have you updated the latest firmware(1.2.10 Build 241025 Rel.55515n) on the Tapo C520WS? If not, please try to update the firmware via the Tapo app and check if it solves the issue.

I have already updated the firmware and I still get the problem. I just don't enable the alarm feature because it is a hassle to reset the device again.Firmware Ver

I enabled the alarm feature again, now the smart mode is not working properly even when the alarm feature has been disabled. The camera stays in infrared mode all night even when an event has been detected.

If you have enabled the Motion Tracking feature, please turn it off for a try.
