Firmware Version: 1.2.6

There seems to be an automatic return to a home position after the camera has tracked a subject. However, it is not linked to the settings, which makes no sense.

To explain, I have my camera set to only detect and track people, and that works very well, but once they go beyond the range the camera will not return to home after the default time (whatever that might be) unless no motion whatsoever is detected. Consequently, the return is delayed by cars, animals, trees, or anything else that moves!

If you happened to have something like a flag blowing in the wind at the end of the tracking area, the camera would never return to home and defeat the whole purpose.

Please change the protocol to link the return to the detection mode and, also, offer the setting of a custom time for that return.

  @PeterKelly

Hi,
It seems the camera's Auto Tracking feature does not work properly according to your description, please help confirm the following information for further analysis.

1. Please go to the camera's Device Settings>Detection page and send me a picture of it.

2. Go to the Auto Tracking page and send me a picture of it.

3. If you are willing to share a video showing the reported issue, please go to the camera's Live View page to record the video manually when reproducing the issue and send me the video.

Best Regards

Again, thank you for the reply. Curiously, after a day of behaviour as I described, it appears to be working correctly now.

Indeed, the whole system, both in terms of response and signal strength, appear to be much more stable than when first installed.

Whether such 'settling down' always takes a little time, or there are other factors, will likely be impossible to determine.

The only change made in the period in question, which might be a factor, is that I was replacing a Yeskamo system and that the NVR base, together with two cameras, was still in operation until the final 'handover'. I can't see how the wifi/signals of that system would interfere, but it does seem more than coincidental.

Even if you can't know whether such interference is possible, it might be worth bearing in mind if other users are experiencing odd behaviour of their cameras.
