Firmware Version:

I've noticed other camera brands such as Wyze are programmed to detect the sound pattern of standard smoke and carbon monoxide alarm signals, and a notification is sent to notify the user in the app.

Regarding the Tapo C200, for example, it can only detect baby cry.

It should be a simple fix to improve the sound detection, including it to detect fire alarms. If this would be improved, there would be no need to buy a "smart smoke detector", instead you could use a simple smoke detector and let Tapo camera alert you if it goes on.

this would be an incredibly helpful feature, especially for people like myself who sometimes need to leave pets alone for a few days and are terrified by the idea of a fire happening when nobody is around to hear the fire alarm

This would allow a home security alarm config to also provide a chance if carrying a fire early and reducing damage

add other sound detection to cover things like house alarm, smoke alarm, abnormal sounds etc.... baby crying detection only is not enough

This is what I've been looking for also. I have an older alarm system with smoke detection that sounds a 90dB siren. I thought that my Tapo C220 that is advertised as detecting "Hard Sounds" would trigger a notification, but it does not. I have all 4 noise types set to max sensitivity, and it does not detect my alarm system.

@jay1407 The C120 and C220 claim to detect "hard noises".  They both provide 4 noise types: baby crying, glass breaking, dog barking, and cat meowing.  The dog bark detection is hit and miss.  My 90dB smoke alarm siren is not picked up at all.  There's not much of a harder noise than that.  On the Tapo website both the C120 and C220 claim to detect "hard noises", but they don't.

@Jamval  I didn't see the Tapo C120 & C200 support to detect all "hard noises", but do see they support BabyCry Detection, Meow Detection, Bark Detection, and Glass-Breaking Detection. you can add a new post here(https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/613) if the Bark Detection does not work well.
