Manually deleting video from SD card
Just set up TC85 cameras and have them successfully recording events to the SD card. Is there a way to manually delete unwanted videos from the card using the App? Or does the until keep recording/storing files until full, then begins to overwrite the oldest one first without any way to do manual cleanup?
TIA
Phil

I tried Reolink and its exactly the same, you cannot delete from the SD Card. Unless someone knows otherwise?

@Solla-topee your previous answer is unacceptable. I own two Tapo C225 cameras mounted on the ceiling in a hard place to reach without a ladder. Also I own a Tapo C520WS which is mounted outside at more than 4 meters height. This camera has a plastic cover over the sd card that is fixed with two screws.
Do you think that I have time to lose in order to find a ladder in order to reach the cameras, retrieve the SD Card, insert that card in a computer, identify the file(s) to delete and then do the reverse steps to put back the SD card in the camera?
A delete feature is a must! Please inform ASAP the technical department about this.

Hi,
Currently, the Tapo camera does not have the feature to delete the video recordings from the SD card manually via the Tapo app, and if the Loop Recording feature on the microSD card page is turned on, the new recordings will overwrite the oldest one when storage is not enough. If you need to delete the video recordings before the SD card is full, you can remove the SD card from the camera, connect it to a PC via an SD card adapter, and then delete the video recordings on the PC.Best Regards

I can't believe VIGI cameras don't have that option. Why is that?

Need it.
Seems like such a simple feature, ability to remove what is essentially a 'file' exising on an SD device.
Have to think it is done in this manner to drive the consumer to the 'cloud' feature.
Just purchased the D235 doorbell cam, considering returning it.
Suggesting removing the card and editing it on the PC is just a lazy response.

The sooner this is implemented on all TAPO cameras the better. 2 years worth of requests and no action ..... Very poor show !
