2. What kind of alarm/alert messages do you want to receive?

Generally, if the camera has enabled the detection types(such as motion, person, etc.), you can tap the Bell icon at the top right corner of the Tapo app>Home page to see the camera notifications(such as motion-detected, person-detected, etc.).

If you have subscribed to the Tapo Care cloud service or have inserted an SD card into the camera to store the video clips, after you tap a notification, you can go to the Playback page to see the corresponding video clip.
 

3. The Tapo camera is not required to work with VIGI NVR.
