Hi, I have multiples HS220 of version 2 and 3 and I'd really like to be able to set a level of luminosity with a routine so when I turn them on they are set to a good preset.

 

For example set the bathroom at minimum at 10 pm and set it back to full brightness at 6 am and so on for the corridors and bedrooms.

 

I have seen it's been requested since 2019 without development.

 

Currently if you use Alexa or any other app it will turn on the light while applying the preset. You cannot get the state and turn it back to its state so I believe it would be a nice feature.

If I understand it correctly, actually this scenario can be achieved by creating a Smart Action rule. You can choose the Trigger Time as the Trigger.

Common questions about Smart Actions in the kasa app

 

For example,

When

22:00 Everyday

Then

HS220 Turn On| Set brightness to 10%

  @Wayne-TP thanks for your reply but that's not what I want to do. I would like to be able to set it without changing the state of the light. So if it is off, I want to set it to 10% while remaining off, so if I press it it any moment later it would be at 10% and not at the maximum.

 

This is the same thing as pressing the two buttons at the top of the switch before pressing the switch.

  @haquestions I ended up doing it with Python. I have a server home running so I did a cron job calling the Python-Kasa API available on the web. It works very well but you must set the ip of the swiches static on the router if you want it to be reliable.
