Smart plug really need a trigger to send notifications on timeout (if regular outlet comes to zero)

+1 on this and also to then get rich notifications like the last picture the camera saw before power outage

+1 on this one and getting rich notification for what a camera saw just before power outage or offline due to network issues

I agree, just realised one of my kids had unplugged chest freezer, would of been great knowing it was offline, $200 of food wasted :(

To the TP-Link Team, As a dedicated user of Tapo cameras, I truly appreciate the security and peace of mind they provide. However, I believe there is one crucial feature missing that would significantly enhance the user experience: Offline Notifications for Tapo cameras. Why this feature matters: 1. Security Assurance: An offline camera could indicate power or network issues—or worse, tampering. Users need to know immediately to take action. 2. Peace of Mind: Without offline alerts, users may remain unaware of potential gaps in surveillance, defeating the purpose of having a security camera. 3. Industry Standard: Offline notifications are a basic feature in many smart home ecosystems and are critical to maintaining trust in connected devices. How it could work: • Notify users via the Tapo app the moment a camera goes offline. • Provide troubleshooting tips within the app to help resolve the issue. • Optionally, allow users to customize the notification delay to prevent false alarms due to brief outages. Adding this feature would align Tapo cameras with user expectations for smart security systems and reinforce TP-Link’s reputation for innovation and reliability. We, your loyal customers, kindly request that you prioritize this feature in a future app update. Thank you for considering our feedback! Sincerely, Nithin
