Privacy mode control by shared users
Multiple users with whom the camera is shared should be able to turn privacy mode on or off. Currently, only the owner of the camera can do it.
I am in a situation where multiple family members live together and the last person who leaves the house needs to turn privacy mode off for safety. I find this a major problem with this camera which should be easily fixed with an software upgrade.
In general, there should be a way to fine tune permissions granted to others when sharing a device. There is also no web UI or software to control the camera using a PC (Note - I'm talking about controlling the functionality, not just viewing the feed).

@sgrover People keep asking for this feauture for 18 months now, and Tplink doesn't do anything? What's the point of this forum, if TPlink doesn't give a *** to answer customer requests?

TP support actively ignore and downplay this massive feature request for a reason they cannot control.
No sane company would 1. Wire their system in a way not allowing for roles/permissions 2. Not adapting the software to their own customers' demands and desperate calls for help
My guess is the devs made it clear early on there is no way this can be done without re-wiring much of the main architecture around security - which probably is a complete mess.
I like the hardware, and the user interface. But this situation is no longer possible, so cannot buy or recommend any other device from them.
The situation me and many other are struggling with: As a technical person you are the one setting everything up. Often you install cameras on multiple locations if you like the system. Home, office, cabin etc. Many people are affected and privacy mode is of course needed quite a often.
Having to control this feature for everyone as an "admin" is not acceptable, you need to be able to do this with shared permissions. Not only is it not possible to keep track of everyones enter and leave status, the shared users WANT to control this themselves. Everyone gets frustrated.

@TvInc in a recent update, tp-link has re-enabled the local control of the cameras and because of that, Home Assistant integration started working again, that is what I'm using to control the privacy function of the cameras now.
I gave up on the idea of them fixing the privacy control function app, but also when I tried using it linked to my phone only it also wasn't working and didn't change the privacy status when I left home or when I went back.
The Home Assistant integration via the unofficial add-on works like a dream.
