Please allow setting control for sharing. It's a make or break security issue, not a nice to have!

After spending £700 odd pounds on a extensive tapo system I was really disappointed to see that it's not possible to give basic permissions to other users, like turn on the light, deactivate the system etc. this is all stuff that could be done on my 4 year old previous eziviz cameras and now I am going to have to find a solution. Even if it means returning some of the cameras and swapping them out to another brand that allows basic permissions sharing

I would like to see a similar multi user experience similar to how Google home does it with householdss / tenants which you can then add / invite other users too with some permissions levels also. The tapo app with its device sharing just doesn't really provide a full multi user experience, it's really only like a minimal sharing experience where each device has to be shared out.  I see that this method could suit many users so it's not something I'd expect to be removed completely, I just feel that having an additional option such as a full tenant / household sharing experience many users like myself are left disappointed, especially if coming from competitor systems such as Google home etc, having to share each device to each additional especially with lots of devices must be so fiddly and time consuming.... 

 

 

We need it

The default settings for permissions are very limiting. I'd like to be able to control them in more granular way. E.g. allow to change day/night mode.

Adding granular camera sharing permissions will greatly increase the chance that I purchase Tapo products in the future
