I have had a KP303 for 2 days and outlet 1 does not power-up. I have reset the plug, the router and the app. Does this need to be returned as faulty?

In this case, please check if you can turn on/off outlet 1 when pressing the hardware on/off button on the KP303 for outlet 1, and you can connect different devices to outlet 1 for a try.
If the hardware switch on/off is also not working, it should be that outlet 1 has a hardware issue, and you can contact your retailer to return it or contact TP-Link support to check if the plug is under warranty.
