Physical power button is not an issue for me, but the app power on/off button is tricky, i have mistakenly pressed this multiple times. The ability to lock the app button in the device settings would be perfect. Ideally when "Power Button Protection" is enabled, the button would be grayed out, and the user can go to settings to allow access again.

+1 to having a button like that.

A. Sometimes I accidentally touch a device's power button. When there’s a high risk, I prefer not to rely on carefully avoiding the power button but instead to have an option to prevent accidents altogether.

Example: I want to check the energy consumption of my clothes dryer but must be very careful not to touch the power button and turn it off in the middle of a cycle. The same applies to the refrigerator.

Additionally, I think the lock feature should apply to the device itself, not just the app. I sometimes control Tapo devices through the Samsung SmartThings app, and if the power-off lock could prevent accidental shutdowns across both platforms, it would be ideal for me.
