Dear Support,

i encountered a frustrating connect issue with two different Tapo Device:

 

Smart Plugin Tapo P110

  • HW version 1.0 
  • Firmware version 1.1.6 

 

Tapo L530E

  • HW version 2.0 
  • Firmware version 1.0.9 Build 220526 Rel. 203202

 

Both device are updated to last available Firmware for Italy.

 

Randomly, device are not available on Tapo App and to reconnect again i must reboot my router. I use Vodafone Station FWA Router and i can observed that device result connected to router but result not available on Tapo App.

 

Is there a solution for this issue? I notice that more user reported the same problem but i cannot found any proposed solution. Is there debug mode available for expert user (or log mode) to identify connection issue? 

 

Can you help me?

sorry for the delayed response, do you mean the device goes offline or greyed out in the app ?If so, please try some tips that helps with stability 

What should I do if my Tapo smart devices (smart plug, smart lighting) keeps losing connection or going Offline?

It's important to ensure that smart device receives strong Wifi signal, you can also fix the a 2.4Ghz wifi channel or try a Guest Wifi network and see if that makes any difference. 

 

If still the same, can you share a photo of the error in the app, please also check my PM to help collect the APP log when issue happens, thank you.

Hi @Solla-topee, thank for reply. 

 

I change my router and i confirm that with Vodafone router (i'm in Italy) there is a problem with the mesh network (2GHz and 5GHz meshing in single network SID).

 

Actually i changed my Internet Provider and i'm finally can use this without a problem.
